It is easy to complete booking just by following the steps from the official website, without any special care.
After you enter the departure and arrival airports, schedule, etc., you will move to the selection of seat grade. Economy class is further divided into the following three grades: LITE, PLUS, and FLEX. The following is an overview of each class.
See the official page for more details.
Seat grade: LITE
The lowest price grade. The following conditions should be met.
One bag, 8kg MAX. Details will be described in the later section.
Not included. Can be added by €25.
Randomly allocated. Can be selected by €5～.
Can be changed by €60.
Seat grade: PLUS
In addition to LITE grade, PLUS grade enables you to bring a check-in baggage and a second carry-on baggage (hand bag). If you want to bring a check-in baggage, it is better to choose the PLUS grade in case the price difference from the LITE grade is less than €25.
Seat grade: FLEX
Snack on the air is included. Flight is changeable free of charge, cancellation/refund is available by €60.
Online check in
Available from 36h to 1h before the departure.
However, it is clearly stated that you can also check in at the airport for free.
The cheapest LITE class specifies a severe restriction: only one carry-on baggage and 8kg MAX.
Size is 55x45x25cm MAX, which is not so severe.
If you upgrade from LITE to PLUS grade (23kg check-in baggage included), an additional carry-on luggage 40x30x15cm, 3kg MAX is accepted.
Comparison with European 2 major LCCs: Ryanair & easyJet
This blog considers Ryanair & easyJet as the European 2 major LCCs. Here let me compare the luggage restrictions with theirs.
Check-in baggage of Ryanair
- 55x40x20cm/10kg (in case of Priority) + 40x25x20cm
Size restriction is a little bit severe (especially width 20cm). Weight is limited. Second bag (hand bag) is included.
Check-in baggage of easyJet
- 56x45x25cm only one bag
Size restriction is not so severe. Weight is not specified. Second bag is not acceptable.
Check-in baggage of Czech airlines
- 55x45x25cm/8kg only one bag
Although there is a limit on the number of items that can be brought in, just like easyJet, the weight limit is more severe than Ryanair. Although the size restriction is loose, it can be seen that Czech airline restriction is stricter than the two major European LCCs.
I was surprised of the severe check-in baggage restriction (8kg MAX only one bag). However, other aspects are reasonable and easy to use.
I did not see any baggage weight measurement when I board. However, let’s use Czech airlines with the full understanding of the restriction.
